But it's also one of the most stable and best-conditioned roles in the industry.
Hotel receptionist salary in Spain 2026
- 1–3 star hotel / hostel: €1,150–1,350 gross/month.
- 4-star hotel (tourist areas): €1,400–1,700 gross/month. Language supplement common.
- 5-star hotel or luxury resort: €1,700–2,100 gross/month.
- Night auditor: base salary plus night shift supplement of €150–350/month extra.
In the Balearics, the hospitality collective agreement is one of the highest in Spain. A receptionist in Ibiza can earn €1,600–1,900 gross during the May–October season.
Languages: the requirement that makes the biggest difference
English is not a bonus in hotel reception — it's a minimum requirement. Most 4 and 5-star hotel job offers require demonstrable B2 level. Beyond English: German is highly valued in hotels with German-speaking clients (Mallorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria) and can mean an additional €80–150/month.
