Ski instructor work in Spain is one of the most attractive seasonal jobs: good pay, a unique environment and a concentrated season that allows you to combine it with other work the rest of the year. The problem is there aren't enough qualified instructors to meet demand at the main resorts.

Required qualification

In Spain, professional ski or snowboard instruction requires an official qualification regulated by the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI), with three levels:

• Level 1: beginner group classes. Entry level.
• Level 2: advanced groups, any discipline. More demanding and recognised.
• Snowboard instructor: equivalent qualification specific to snowboard.

Ski instructor salaries in Spain 2026

• Level 1 employed instructor: €1,200–1,600 gross/month during the season.
• Level 2 experienced instructor: €1,700–2,200 gross/month.
