*HOSTESS / CHEF — Private 48ft Sailing Catamaran (Mediterranean)* We are looking for a Hostess (with cooking skills) to join the crew of a private 48-foot sailing catamaran for the 2026 Mediterranean summer. The boat is for personal family use (not charter), cruising the Balearic Islands, Sardinia and the South of France. *Vessel and operation* - 48-foot sailing catamaran - Private family use — no charter pressure - Cruising area: Balearic Islands, Sardinia, South of France - Crew: Skipper + Hostess *Period* - June — half month (start of season) - July and August — full operation (peak) - Possible extension into early September depending on family plans - For chef-trained candidates: possibility of extending year-round as private family chef in Portugal during the off-season *Profile* Service-oriented, discreet, with strong attention to detail. Comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals, keeping the interior spotless, managing provisioning and laundry. Someone who genuinely enjoys cooking is a real plus — chef training is highly valued. Will also support the Skipper on deck during manoeuvres and watches when needed. *Required:* - Previous yacht experience (minimum one season) - STCW Basic Safety Training (valid) - ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate (valid) - Working English; Spanish a strong plus - Clean references *Plus:* - Catamaran experience - Food hygiene certificate - Formal chef training - Cooking portfolio (photos, references, sample menus) - Multilingual ability (Portuguese, French, German, Italian) *What we offer* - Monthly salary in the range €2,000–3,000 gross, depending on certifications, yacht seasons and cooking skills (high season rates, June–August) - Accommodation and full board included while embarked - Travel arrangements discussed individually - End-of-season bonus: TBD - For chef-trained candidates: option of extending year-round as private family chef in Portugal (rate to be agreed separately) - Calm, family environment —
