Hotel barge offering 6-night cruises in France is seeking a hardworking Chef for the second part of the 2026 season (25 August – 19 October). As the Chef, you will have sole responsibility for preparing daily lunches and dinners. Lunch consists of a main course and dessert, while dinner consists of four courses (including a cheese course). You will also prepare canapés on Sundays and Fridays only. You will cater for up to 6 guests and 4 crew members (5 including yourself). We are looking for someone with excellent time management and presentation skills, as well as the ability to adapt menus. You will also be responsible for all aspects of shopping and for maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, food hygiene, and organisation. We are looking for someone who is clean, tidy, well organised, and takes pride in their work. We also need someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, has a positive attitude, is able to follow instructions, and is willing to work together to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Applicants must be team players, energetic, confident interacting with guests, and able to provide a consistently high standard of service. Gratuities are shared equally amongst all crew members. Fluent English is essential, and French is highly appreciated. Previous experience in luxury hospitality, a valid driving licence, and an EU passport are required.
